May was a busy month as always with graduations and school over for the summer. Our granddaughter, Anni, graduated from Gilbert High School in the top 15% and earned AIMS Excellence and 4 Year Golden Scholar honors. She will attend ASU this fall on scholarship majoring in elementary education.
Also... our grandson, Adam, visited from San Diego where he was stationed in the Navy. He has since been deployed to Bahrain where he is assigned to serve on a minesweeper ship. To the left is Anni Sezate and below are Gabriel 2, Gabriel 1, Gabriel 3, Adam, Kelly, Kyrstin, Anna and Athen, enjoying an afternoon in Gabriel and Anna's backyard in Las Sendas (Mesa, AZ).

We had a fun visit with Shirley Pagan Hansen and her beautiful daughter, Kristina and handsome son, Karl, on Saturday, the day before Easter Sunday as they were here visiting Shirley's in-laws for the weekend. A few members of the family (who were able to come on the spur of the moment) met at the Olive Garden and had lunch and visited and briefly shared some genealogy. I'm sorry to say that I took my camera with me and then totally forgot to take pictures. But it was so good to see the family get together as we so seldom meet anymore. This is mainly the purpose for having this blog. We have some very special young family members in the family who are growing up and doing fun and interesting and great things with their lives and we need to be aware of their accomplishments and support them with our love and attention. And also, our young cousins need to know each other. With so many of them living in different states, they don't know each other and they are like total strangers to each other. Please share whatever you can about your family so that none of us are strangers to each other. Please send all the pictures you can so that we can watch our families grow and be able to keep up with everyone.
